Abstract
- Conclusions: The ultimate goal of our study was to determine whether remoxipride had the ability to improve recognition memory in rats. Even if our results did not show any significant enhancement in recognition memory by remoxipride, the up-going trend is evident. Stipulated this tendency is accurate, remoxiprides mechanism of action would be an invaluable tool if implemented in the pharmaceutical industry, as it might enable the development of novel pro-cognitive agents, which in turn may improve the quality of life of millions of patients suffering from schizophrenia.
