Establishing a Ratio for the Number of Computers Compared to FTE in Community College Libraries–A Brief Survey

Abstract: In planning for technology in libraries some benchmark standard related to FTE students is desirable. At Yavapai College data was needed to plan for the number of computers needed on the library floor to serve student research needs. A survey of twenty-three responding community colleges yields a ration of students to computers that is a useful benchmark for planning purposes.
