Abstract

The vibrational and rotational energy levels of many biological macromolecules are in the terahertz band. Therefore, terahertz technology plays an important role in the field of biochemistry. However, due to the strong absorption of THz wave by hydrogen bonds in water, many research groups combine terahertz spectroscopy and microfluidic technology to reduce the influence of hydrogen bonding on biomolecules. We fabricated THz microfluidic chips with COC with high THz transmittance to reduce the interaction distance between THz wave and aqueous solution. Finally, the terahertz transmission characteristics of five different potassium salt solutions were studied by using the chip.
