Object detection and localization for an indoor assistive environment scenario

Abstract
- The purpose of this work is to detect and localize objects in a laboratory setting. For our experiments, we use fixed objects as reference points, based on which the robot achieves localization. We investigate the performance of the system on two classification categories in which labels were automatically acquired (humans, chairs).
