Energy enhancement scaling for quasi-stable soliton transmission in lossy dispersion-managed fiber links

Energy enhancement scaling for the quasi-stable soliton transmission in periodic dispersion-managed (DM) fiber links with arbitrary attenuation is proposed and discussed. Simulations show that the inclusion of the fiber loss has the effect of reducing the energy enhancement due to the dispersion variation.
