Abstract: 1. The reactions of 1-bromomagnesiomethylbarene with HgCl2, SnCl4, and PCl3 have given di(barenylmethyl)mercury, tetra(barenylmethyl)tin, and tri(barenylmethyl)phosphine. 2. The action of 1-bromomagnesiomethylbarene on (π-C5H5)2TiCl2 has given the stable di(π-cyclopentadienyl)di(σ-barenylmethyl)titanium.
