Abstract

We describe the development of adenocarcinoma of the gallbladder in a patient who presented to us with progressive cholestatic jaundice and weight loss, 4 months after being diagnosed with dermatomyositis (DM). DM and polymyositis are both associated with a variety of malignancies, and the most common site of the primary neoplasm is the lung, ovary, and colon.
