Abstract
- In various geological applications of remote sensing, large amounts of data processing and mapping are demanded and there are inevitable problems such as managing data in different databases and working across different operating systems. Cross-platform GIS is an effective strategy for solving such problems. Based on the ideas of cross-platform software porting and module integration, this paper firstly proposes a hierarchical and component-based GIS framework for geological applications of remote sensing, then analyzes different implementation technologies, and, finally develops a specific prototype to verify the feasibility of the proposed framework.
