Abstract
- A hexagonal nanowire consists of the ferromagnetic spin-3/2 core and spin-1 outer shell coupled with ferrimagnetic interlayer coupling has been studied. The general formula for the temperature dependence of the longitudinal and the transverse magnetization of the system is given. Particularly, emphases of the effects of the physical parameters on transition temperature and the range of physical parameters over which two compensation points exist are given. The competition among the exchange coupling between the outer shell and core, the outer shell coupling, the anisotropies, the transverse field, and the temperature has a profound effect on the characteristic of magnetic properties in the hexagonal nanowire system.
