Abstract

In late 2020, biopharmaceutical companies announced that they had successfully developed effective vaccinations against Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2). The vaccines may be the solution to the pandemic. However, in order for them to be affective at stopping the spread of Covid-19 the majority of the world's population must be vaccinated. Unfortunately, it seems that some people are hesitant to receive the vaccine. Our study aims to asses people's views about potential Covid-19 vaccines, specifically about which characteristics of the vaccine lead to higher acceptance levels than others. Using a conjoint design (also known as a discrete choice experiment), we ask participants to choose between two potential vaccines with randomized profiles. Using this data, we can test which characteristics within each profile lead to higher acceptance of the vaccine.
