Abstract
- We present a spectroscopic OCT (sOCT) system to extract spectroscopic properties of turbid liquid media using principle component analysis (PCA) and swept source optical coherence tomography (SSOCT). Extracted results are well comparable with the standard photo spectrometer technique. This system has potential for real time measurement of blood oxygen saturation and monitoring of relative concentration for other metabolic compounds inside human body. Liquid media was prepared with ethanol (10% v/v), citric acid (5% v/v) and water. A linear mathematical model for depth resolved diffuse reflectance was build from sOCT signal. Then PCA was applied on resultant model to extract absorption coefficients of different constituents of the media. Extracted information is well comparable with the standard photo spectrometer technique. This system has potential to monitor relative concentration change of metabolic compounds inside any system.
