Diabetes mellitus is characterized as one of the growing diseases globally. Uncontrolled levels of diabetes mellitus lead toward the development of various diseases including foot ulcerations. The development of the disease is characterized under different phases ranging from controlled conditions toward the uncontrolled conditions leading toward the surgeries and mortality. The occurrence of the disease is most common among patients who are diabetic that weakens the individual ability of wound healing. Smoking and obesity are some of the risk factors associated with the disease. The diagnosis of the disease is mainly possible through various techniques including radiological and bedside tests, MRI, revascularization, and surgical techniques. The complete diagnosis of the disease is essential to overcome the adverse effect of the disease. Timely identification of the given disease is crucial to decrease the rate of mortality. Management of the given disease is held through different techniques including debridement, offloading, wound dressing, and the therapies inducing negative pressure on the wound, etc. However, weight-bearing activity is the most common clinical techniques involved in treating the disease.
