Abstract

People spend nearly one-third of their adult lives at work. They consider the workplace a typical environment in which people with different personalities, communication styles, and worldviews interact. The present study employed a descriptive-correlational method to investigate the relationship between work values, job involvement, organizational commitment, and job performance among 438 public-school teachers. Hence, the descriptive statistics of the data revealed that the respondents’ levels of work values (4.75), job involvement (4.81), and organizational commitment (4.83) are high. This indicates that the respondents are well adapted to the challenges of the pandemic, even though they have experienced a shift in their teaching modality. Further, the level of their job performance was considerably above average (3.81) due to the barriers caused by this pandemic. Moreover, the statistical results showed that there is a relationship between work values, job involvement, organizational commitment, and job performance of the respondents. Finally, implications and recommendations for future research based on the current findings were discussed.
