Linear amplification of signals by use of two oscillators: a proposal

Abstract

It is described how linear amplification of signals is achieved by a coupled system of oscillators with a hybrid element, and an experimental verification is given. This scheme may be applied to amplification of signals ranging from microwave to optical frequencies.
