Abstract: HEREDITARY iso-antigens (allotypes) of rabbit γ-globulin were discovered in 1956 by Oudin1, and independently in 1958 by Dubiski et al.2. Since then many publications have appeared reporting the serological, genetical and immunochemical characteristics of rabbit γ-globulins3–6. More recently, antigenically different types of serum globulins have been described in guinea pig7, man8 and baboon9.
