Radiative transition probabilities within 4f configurations of Nd3+ and Er3+ in POCl3 :ZrCl4

Radiative transition probabilities for electric dipole transitions from excited states of Nd 3+ and Er 3+ in POCl 3 :ZrCl 4 are calculated using eigenstates in the intermediate coupling scheme and intensity parameters determined from experimental absorption spectra in terms of the Judd—Ofelt method. The results are compared with experimental data.
