Struktur eines spirocyclischen phenylstibonsäureesters

The crystal structure of 2-phenyl-4,4,4′,4′,5,5,5′,5′-octamethyl-2,2′-spirobi-(1,3,2-λ5-dioxastibolan) has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The central antimony atom shows slightly distorted trigonal bipyramidal conformation. 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectra are reported and from this point of view the structure of the compound in solution is discussed.
