Abstract
- This paper presents an analysis and experimental verification of the operating point stability of a synchronous motor when supplied from a current source inverter provided with power factor control. The control system acts to inject the stator current at a controlled angle related to the stator voltage. The effects of magnetic saturation and inverter imperfections are included.
