Abstract
- A strain of Bacillus megaterium had complex effects on kraft lignin degradation. In media with 0.1% and 0.5 % glucose, a 5% decrease and a 15% increase were observed respectively, in the acid-precipitable lignin fraction. No correlation was found between tyrosinase and laccase production and lignin degradation.
