Abstract
- The effect of normal pressure and rate dependences of elastomer friction in the glass transition region has been investigated. The results confirm the absence of a maximum on the rate dependence of the friction coefficient and demonstrate the possibility of applying the temperature-time equivalence principle to the description of the rate dependence of the friction coefficient at increased pressures.
