Abstract
- Adolescent ingestions are common reasons for calls to poison centers in United States. As opposed to younger children who mostly have unintentional exposures, adolescent ingestions often result from intentional use. This manuscript reviews recent reports on adolescent ingestions related to intentional abuse, self-harm, and use of opioid medications.
