Nuclear magnetism of hcp solid 3He above the ordering temperature

Abstract
- We have precisely measured the magnetization and ac susceptibility of hcp solid 3He as a function of molar volume in the temperature range down to 38 uK. We have obtained the Weiss temperature and the next higher order term in the high temperature expansion in magnetization at lower temperatures. The obtained molar volume dependence of the Weiss temperature is in good agreement with that of the bcc phase, though the sign of the Weiss temperature is opposite. The susceptibility data are discussed associated with the exchange-Zeeman relaxation time.
