Thirty Years of Research on Antisemitism

This text by Robert S. Wistrich summarizes his research on antisemitism over the last thirty years. Wistrich was among the first historians in the mid-1980s to deal with the Islamist threat. He was a forerunner of Goldhagen’s analysis of German “eliminationist antisemitism,” as he saw himself in this piece, which may be the last long article he wrote. He also discusses Soviet anti-Zionist antisemitism and left-wing Third Worldism and analyzes various forms of Islamist ideology, from the Arab world to Iran and ISIS.
