Abstract

The forming art of paper pulp is popular in Europe, America, Japan, Asia, etc. even in Taiwan. There are many facilities and workshops for paper art, which provide an educational and experimental place for people to contact with the connotation of traditional culture and explore the possible expression of “paper” in the context of contemporary culture. The teaching of pulp plastic art and engineering in China is still in the early stage of development. In professional art colleges and engineering universities, although there are related teaching and creation desire, the lack of curriculum planning, and the need for teaching equipment and materials knowledge, leads to the invention of paper pulp in the development of pulp art in the current state of backwardness. Integrating the course of pulp plastic art and making into teaching will have a great influence on guiding students to understand Chinese culture, exploring new materials, developing innovative thinking and constructing design theories in art, design and engineering. The paper pulp material and forming arts are combined to make the unique aesthetic feeling of its form, texture, texture and color and the creative design of art, function and forming, so as to enrich the connotation of China’s art, design, engineering education and bring new ideas and new pursuit direction for innovative and creative education.
