Abstract
- In this paper, measuring results of laser scattering from rough aluminum samples by using integrating spheres are presented. The aluminum samples are diamond-turned to different roughness with random and periodic roughness distribution. The total integrated scattering (TIS) is measured to represent the scattering properties of rough surface. From the experimental results, we can conclude that the TIS value for random roughness distribution agrees well with Beckmann theory, while the measuring data for periodic roughness distribution don’t show such agreement.
