Performance Analysis For PMQTT Protocol

The Internet of Things (IoT) systems extensively use Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol. MQTT standards has no description regarding how to implement the security services in MQTT platforms although it is an urgent requirement for IoT environment. This work introduces a performance analysis for Protected MQTT (PMQTT) protocol which is based on MQTT with addressing for its security limitations. PMQTT offers security services such as confidentiality, authentication, and key exchange. The presented protocol is applied on a telemedicine case study as it is a critical platform for security.
