Typology of farming systems in brackishwater ponds in the Philippines

To classify brackishwater pond farming systems in the Philippines, a farm-level survey in the two main production regions (Central Luzon and Western Visayas) produced input and data for principal components analysis and cluster analysis to generate a typology of farming systems. A solution of five farm types is described in detail and interpreted. The implications for comparative analysis of sustainability impacts are described.
