Analysis and Countermeasure for the GAP Abnormal Phenomenon of 500kV Fixed Series Compensation System Caused by Fiber Attenuation

In this paper, the abnormal phenomenon of fixed series compensation GAP is discussed. The main reason, too large attenuation of the fiber communication between the GAP trigger equipment and control protection screen input plate is analyzed. The improved measurement to the fixed series compensation system operation and design is proposed.
