Abstract: The title compound consists of well-separated units of (Re(OH)(NCS) 3 (Ph3P) 2 ] complexes and MeOH solvent molecules. The Re atom is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral coordination sphere. The two triphenylphosphine ligands are arranged trans to each other. The ReOH distance is 2.171 (4) A and lies in the range for a single Re-O bond. The NCS ligands are coordinated via nitrogen
