P-155: OLED Display Attached by Patterned Microlens Array for Light Extraction with Negligible Image Blur

We demonstrate a 51.9% luminance enhancement with keeping the image quality index of the display as high as 94%, by attaching a patterned microlens array film on a commercial 2.0-inch OLED display. By removing the microlens upon the emitting area, light rays in the glass substrate less than critical angle was effectively extracted, which increases the optical intensity and reduces the image blur at the same time.
