Abstract
- moieties and a 1,3-benzenedimethanethiol subunit, this study describes the synthesis of a metalloreceptor boasting a cavity size amenable to molecular recognition of DNA/RNA nucleo-bases, including cytosine, adenine, and thymine as well as imidazole, pyrazine, and 2,6-dimethylpyrazine. Both the synthesis and characteristics of molecular recognition were as described in previous reports.
