Abstract

The structure and microhardness of VT1-00 and VT1-0 titanium is studied after dynamic channel angular pressing (DCAP) at 20 and 500°C. It is established that DCAP at 20°C leads to partial fracture of a sample and the accumulation of cracks. DCAP at 500°C allows one to retain samples unfailed and to obtain a mixture of deformed portions and recrystallized 2- to 3-μm grains in their structures.
