A New Three-Dimensional La(III) Coordination Polymer Based on A 1,4-Naphthalenedicarboxylate

A new 3D La(III) coordination polymer, namely, [La2(1,4-ndc)3(H2O)2]·H2O (1), has been synthesized under hydrothermal condition (1,4-ndc = 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylate). The compound was structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In 1, the 1,4-ndc ligands bridge neighboring La(III) ions to generate an interesting 3D framework. The thermal behavior of the compound was also studied in detail.
