(−)-Vesamicol produces a rundown in endplate current amplitude at high frequencies of motor nerve stimulation which appears to be due to an ability of the compound to impair transmitter mobilization. This implicates a role for vesicular ACh in mobilization at high frequencies of nerve stimulation.
