Abstract
- Multicircular synthetic aperture radar (SAR) (M-CSAR) has the potential of achieving full 3-D reconstruction of the object over 360° with very high resolution, and thus becomes an interesting 3-D imaging technique. In this paper, a 3-D imaging method is proposed for the MCSAR data. It first splits the entire circular synthetic aperture into several subapertures, and then performs 3-D imaging in subapertures. The final full 3-D reconstruction is obtained by incoherently combining all the 3-D subaperture images. For each subaperture processing, the iterative adaptive approach (IAA) is adopted to achieve improved elevation resolution and suppressed sidelobes. Experimental results with the GOTCHA real data are carried out to demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.
