Influence of the shape and dimensions of blocks of a fractured medium on the regularities governing its blasting fragmentation

Results are presented from experimental studies of the influence of the shape and dimensions of the blocks and their orientation relative to the explosive charge on the size and shape of the fragmenting zone, the character of explosive crack formation in the blocks, the structure of the granulometric composition of the destroyed material, and the change in size of the fragments in the crushing zone of a fractured medium when cylindrical explosive charge is exploded.
