Abstract
- 4-Substituted cis-3-ethyl-2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-2-quinoline was formed as a major product, by irradiation of quinoline N-oxide and 2(1H)-quinolinone substituted with an electron-withdrawing group at the C-4 position in propionic acid. Also, the products were confirmed by direct comparison with synthesized compounds.
