10 GHz-200 fs Pulse Generation with High Extension Ratio Using Mach-Zehnder-Modulator-Based Optical Comb Generator

Abstract: We have demonstrated simple and practical femtosecond pulse generation using Mach-Zehnder-modulator-based optical comb generator and adiabatic soliton compression techniques. 10-GHz, 200-fs pulses with excellent extinction ratio (>20-dB) were obtained.
