Selection Method of Measurement Data for the Parameters Estimation of Transmission Line

Abstract
- Accurate transmission line parameters are critical for power system analysis, operation, and control. In this paper, the influence of data selection scheme on estimation accuracy is study. Three factors affecting the data selection are analyzed, including the size of time window, number of data points used and data sorting method. With simulated data following operating mode, the influence of the factors on estimation accuracy and stability is checked with the least square estimation model. According to the analysis, a data selection scheme for transmission line parameters is proposed. Some transmission lines are estimated with field measurement data to verify the feasibility of the proposed data selection method.
