Abstract

This paper analyses the actual problems of elderly drivers in coping with certain driving tasks (i.e. changing lanes, merging or leaving from a parking position) from a structured state of the art and accident analysis and their impacts to the relevant design of telematic and other vehicle aids HMI. This work is part of AGILE project, co-funded by the Quality of Life programme of the European Commission, which aims at developing a better driving ability assessment and support framework for elderly drivers.
