Abstract
- Amethod for assay of total isoflavonoids in an oil extract of the osage orange by spectrophotometry in the visible part of the spectrum was developed, based on selective interaction of aluminum chloride solution with compounds of flavonoid structure. The results were validated by their demonstrated specificity and the linear relationship between optical density and product concentration, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.9988, with satisfactory reproducibility with a relative error of the mean result of ±2.57%.
