Abstract
- A series of hyperbranched polyacrylate copolymers have been synthesized by self-condensing vinyl copolymerization (SCVCP) of 2-(2-bromopropionyloxy)-ethyl acrylate (BPEA) and methyl acrylate (MA) in the presence of CuBr and bipyridine. The structures and properties of the polymers obtained are characterized by NMR and SEC/RALLS/DV/RI measurements. The effects of reaction conditions on molecular weight (MW), molecular weight distribution (MWD) and degree of branching (DB) are investigated. © 2002 Society of Chemical Industry
