Abstract
- We performed an experiment to study the effects of 2-week ethanol regime on intermale aggression in rats using a 24-hour resident-intruder test. The behavior of both resident and intruder rats was studied in this experiment. In addition, plasma levels of corticosterone (CORT) and testosterone (TEST) were measured for all subjects to determine the relationship between ethanol-induced changes in CORT and TEST levels and agonistic and defensive behaviors as well as to study behavior-induced changes in CORT and TEST
