Abstract
- Three types of counter electrode (CE) were fabricated: (i) the Pt-CE represents the platinum counter electrode, (ii) the CB-CE is carbon black counter electrode and (iii) the CBNT-CE is carbon black and carbon nanotube counter electrode. The low cost CBNT-CE with high catalytic activity was achieved by the introduced of carbon nanotubes. The photo to current conversion efficiency of the CBNT-CE device is 5.57 %, which has the potential to replace the Pt counter electrode in dye-sensitized solar cells. Furthermore, the measurements of electrochemical impedance and cyclic voltammetry were employed to interpret the effect of carbon nanotubes.
