Abstract

The ether model molecules BPE (phenylbenzyl ether), diphenyl ether (DPE) and phenoxyethylbenzene (PPE) of lignin were used as degradation raw materials, and Pd-Al2O3 was used as catalyst to react in batch reactor and continuous reactor, respectively. Pd-Al2O3 showed good degradation performance in batch reaction. The catalytic performance of three substances was compared in a flow reactor. The reasons of catalyst deactivation and the products adsorbed on the surface during the hydrogenolysis of BPE were studied.
