Abstract

Review question/objective The review question is: What are the experiences and perceptions of adults with cystic fibrosis and their adherence to a medication regimen? Inclusion criteria Types of participants This review will consider studies with a focus on adults diagnosed with Cystic fibrosis. Specifically, qualitative studies that explore the experiences and perceptions of Cystic fibrosis affected adults in relation to their adherence to medication regimens will be included. For the purpose of this study, adults who are aged 18 years and over will be included. Phenomena of interest The phenomenon of interest of this qualitative review is the experiences and perceptions of Cystic fibrosis affected adults who are taking any prescribed medications to treat their Cystic fibrosis and related conditions. Context This review will consider qualitative research on community dwelling or hospitalized adults who are diagnosed with Cystic fibrosis, and their experiences and perceptions of adherence to medication regimens.
