Mots savants et néologie en corse, un lexique en devenir ?

Après avoir contextualisé le corse dans l’ensemble italo-roman, puis la rupture causée par la francisation de l’île, nous proposons une réflexion autour de l’intégration des emprunts savants dans le patrimoine lexical corse. L’enrichissement du lexique par les emprunts au grec et au latin est ensuite examiné à la lumière de quelques exemples qui traduisent les difficultés liées à l’éloignement de l’italien et à la rupture de la transmission linguistique.
After having contextualized Corsican in the Italo-Romanic language group and then the break caused by imposing French on the island population, we propose a reflection on the integration of scholarly borrowings in the Corsican lexical heritage. The enrichment of the lexicon by borrowings from Greek and Latin is then examined in the light of a few examples that reflect the difficulties linked to the distance from Italian and the break in linguistic transmission.
