AVABO-ADEC Autism Telehealth

This project aims to evaluate the virtual telehealth adaptation of a standard ASD diagnostic process that has been developed to accommodate required social distancing in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Analyses will be performed to determine the relative contribution of each of the virtual assessment elements toward diagnostic decision making of whether the child has ASD. We will also seek to determine the diagnostic accuracy of a telehealth adaptation of the Autism Detection in Early Childhood (ADEC) as part of a routine clinical assessment of ASD for children under the age of three.
