Abstract

Over the past 15 years, my caseload of patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS)4 has increased from two a year to two a month. Almost all have hypermobile EDS. The 2017 classification aimed to tighten the categorisation of EDS1 but seems to have substantially increased the number of patients instead.
