Abstract: David Hicks is an Associate Professor with the Institute for Electronic Systems at Aalborg University. Previously he has served as Department Head for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Aalborg University's Esbjerg campus. He has also held positions in international research labs in the US as well as Europe, and spent time as a senior researcher in the software industry. He has served in a variety of capacities in the hypertext community including Vice Chair for SIGWEB.
